I need a few 8' long 1/4" 4000 psi hydraulic lines with 3/8" female JIC37 fittings on the ends. Any recommendations of a place that makes or sells long/special hydraulic hoses?

Northern and Agri-Supply appear to only sell hoses with the more typical NPT ends.

I would think http://www.mcmaster.com/ might have what you are looking for.

I've ordered hoses and fittings from them before and they would let you specify length.

Thanks Michael.

It's funny how I go answer my own questions right after I ask them. Turns out Napa auto parts in Fuquay builds hoses, and they are open today.

I know you already have an answer, but if you are in the raleigh area, you can look up Cross Hose and Fitting on (or around) Yonkers Rd./I-440.

Yeah, most Napa's build hoses. Good stuff too.

Thanks Scott. Went to Napa, and what I thought was a JIC fitting is actually metric, which is much more rare and Napa didn't stock fittings. The guys there recommended Cross as well, mentioned that lots of Japanese heavy equipment uses metric fittings. I'll be heading out there this week.

If nothing else, buying and installing a lift myself has been a very entertaining and interesting learning experience... :)

There is a place off Chatham/Hillsborough St between Cary and Raleigh that does al sorts of Hyrdaulic repair and such. Unforunately I can't remeber the name...
