i need to get a muffler put on the rally beater so i can go get it inspected.. i would like the cheapest possible muffler welded or clamped on.. so i need some place to go that will not worry about it necessarily the exact muffler for my car.. i will also need the rest of the line checked out for holes and have them welded or filled.. mainly looking for somewhere decent in raleigh or thats open on saturday.. i would go to R&J but its too much of a distance to have to go from work on a weekday since they arent open on saturday..

These guys did a cheap and decent job on my red Civic. I think it was $80 or so. Custom bent pipe and a generic muffler were welded together from the cat back.

It sounded terrible but got the job done.

You can have my old Saab muffler if you haul the whole cat-back away. I was told that there was a hole in the muffler, but it turned out to be just a hole in the pipe. I had already put on a SS cat-back system which turned out to be a worthwhile regardless of the bad diagnosis.

I think it is 2" in diameter. I don't know if it will fit under the Sentra or not. Maybe you could piece it in there with pipes and clamps from Autozone.

If you're near Cap. Blvd, try Henry's Muffler Shop.

Henry's Muffler is open on Sat. for limited hours so get on up and go. He is very reasonable. Henry is also good about suggesting alternatives if what you want is not a really good idea. But he will do what you want.

went to henry's.. turned out great.. was $72 with a short piece of piping needing to be done as well.. just so anyone else knows henry says "on most cars" the muffler job is $52.08.. i probably heard him tell 5 o 6 people on the phone while i was waiting..

i went on saturday but someone "missplaced" the key.. so the two guys working there were standing out side from 9-11 which i was there most of that time as well and ended up leaving at 11 because i was sick of waiting.. went back this morning and was able to get in around 8:45 after the 2nd 8:30 appointment didnt show up.. took about 45 minutes.. definately would go back for more cheap good work..

Monroe muffler on atlantic quoted me $130ish and that was i believe with using clamps instead of welding.. and henry's welded so that was a plus as well as the price..
