 Post subject: Place to buy steel/aluminum stock?

Where do people buy steel and aluminum raw material around the Triangle? I am specifically looking for 1-3" square and rectangular box tubing in steel (not necessarily CrMo) and aluminum. Steel and aluminum sheet metal (1/16" and thinner) would be my next priority.

Don't say "Lowe's and Home Depot" - horrible selection... :(

Steel: you'll want Dillon Supply in downtown Raleigh.

Aluminum: there are no local suppliers. You have two options:

1) I go to the scrapyards in Durham, they have some good aluminum

2) OnlineMetals.com
