Rarely do I find a product that exceeds expectations. This one does. Its Wipe New and available at WalMart for around $10. Simply, its amazing. My lights on the 06 TL were bad. REALLY bad. The wipe on stuff worked for a couple weeks but didn't fix the problem.

I just did the Wipe New process so can't give a long term review but if they stay like they look now it will be fantastic. And they offer a life time guarantee to pass inspection, for whatever that's worth.

The kit includes a small pad with 2000 grit on one side and 3000 on the other. A pair of latex gloves, a microfiber cloth and the "special sauce". You first use the 2000 to remove the oxidation and then the 3000 to smooth it out. On my headlights that process took maybe 5 or 10 minutes. Must be wet when you use the pad.

After the sanding the headlights look, well, worse then when you started. Not at all clear and not an improvement......yet!

Wipe dry, completely dry and then, in a well ventilated area (the special sauce has quite the strong odor) wipe, once, each headlight. I used painters tape around each light as the directions strongly suggested not getting any on the paint. It took me longer to tape then to apply the stuff.

They say it is dry to the touch in about an hour. I just checked and indeed it is. They also say to keep the lights dry for 24.

The lights look new! Really, they look fantastic! I hope they stay this way a long time. If you suffer from badly oxidized headlights give this a try. For $10 you will be amazed.

Ron

I am interested in your long term results. I tend to shy away from infomercial type products, but it is nice to see when they actually work.
I have used the 3M and Turtle Wax headlight kits with good results. It seems like most kits work when they include a sand-paper step.

Ben,

Yep, me too. I wasn't aware of this kit until friends told me about it. I'll update after some time.

Its now been a couple months since I used this product on my headlights and I'm happy to say that they still look fantastic. In the past, when I used the wipe on, wipe off products, the headlights would have hazed over already. With this product, no sign of that happening. Overall I couldn't be happier with the results.

You can get it on Amazon if you prefer. Reviews suggest it lasts 6 months to a few years. I might give it a try.
