I went there today to use my free mount/balance coupon that I won at the Christmas party raffle and decided to let them do the alignment on the Duff car because I just lowered the rear a bit and figured it would be off.

The Duff car has aftermarket camber and toe adjusters, and normally I have to wait for a couple of hours while the tech gets it on the rack, figures out what to turn to adjust it, and eventually gets it pretty close to what I wanted. Before it's over I'm usually ready to get under the rack and just do it myself (which I have done more than once). The guy at Performance Chassis got me in quickly, already knew what to turn, and had it set to exactly what I had specified within a few minutes. It was more expensive that what I usually pay, even with the THSCC discount, but not exorbitant and well worth it. Even though I generally don't like driving out to Cary for anything, or letting other people work on my car; I'll be going back there next time I need it looked at.

Indeed. Every time I've taken it to Choice near the shop, I have to stand next the machine and point out what to turn. (and constantly remind the tech nothing on the car is straight.) When Cheeto worked there, I didn't have to do that.

PC works on a lot of autox and race cars, so they do know their craft. I really wish they'd get out of that tiny hole in Cary. But I don't have any available property to rent, at the moment. :-)

I've had more than one alignment done there and even a hole in a tire patched. They have always done good work for me as well. It would be nice if they did state inspections too, once I find a good place I like to always take my stuff there.
