Does anyone know a local source for custom color spray paint? There are some places online to order it but if I could get it locally that would be best.

It has been a few years since I have been to the auto paint supply shop near me (I think they changed their name to "National Coating and Supplies" and are located on N. Hardee St off Rt 70). But I "think" they could mix paint and put it into some type of charged aerosol can for you.

I would Google to see what commercial/auto paint supply stores are near you and see if they can do it.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

The local NAPA here does it.

Looks like this one is a winner. Gave them a call and they said they can do 'acrylic enamel' in a can using Dupont's colors.

I also called most of the Walker NAPAs in the triangle and none of them can do it.

Looks like you found a place, but this place used to be able to do this too- not sure if they're even still in business, got this info from a google search:

Carquest Auto Paint Shop

Telephone 919-876-3125

1624 N Market Dr,
Raleigh, NC, US 27609-2517

(off wake forest rd, behind Red Lobster, near where Auto Sport Gallery used to be - for the old timers)

The place is still on Market drive, but it is National Coating and Supplies now. As mentioned, they will mix paint in spray cans or just for brush on.

You'll also get high just STANDING in the store.

I ended up deciding that getting it mixed is way too much effort. Plus the reason I needed a specific color is likely going to fall through.

Lowe's does have a fairly impressive selection of spray paint colors though.
