Sears (~$150) I know it's there. Saw it last week in the Crabtree store
Pep Girls (~$130) probably has them
Sams Club (~$100), but finding them will be spotty here

I got mine at Sams around the end of last year, for $130ish and have been happy with it. It seems ot be easier to bleed than the H-F units (they require a special screw, the Sam's one does not).

HF is back ordered about 45 days on theirs. I have been waiting for the last 30 days.

Their store in Raleigh is back ordered a total of 33 jacks. This was in mid-March.

I believe HF sells at least two versions of their alum jack. One is the back-ordered $89 (on sale price?) version. The other is about $120-130 and I think that one is available.

Not sure what the difference is other than price. I think the more expensive one may be slightly larger. Chris Brown just went through the entire back order fiasco and switched his order to the slightly more expensive one recently. He may be able to provide more details on the HF situation.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

The Sams club one is great. I have one. $132 and in stock last weekend when I was there.

Beware the "lower cost" HF one.

I got the more expensive HF one at Xmas. Same problem back then. The $90 was back ordered. I got the $130 one, which was in stock. Call the store on Capital Blvd before you waste your time driving down there. They only had 2 in stock when I got mine.

I'm happy with the one I got. Used it quite a bit since Xmas. No complaints about it at all. And it is the 34lb one. So it's about as light as it gets for a 3000lb jack.

Christine got me the more expensive one from HF for my birthday. Don't get the cheaper one, because it takes more pumps to get it to the same height. The more expensive one is the quick-pump version.

I bought the cheaper $90 HF model a few weeks ago and since I wasn't in a big hurry, I just waited for it to come off backorder. It eventually did.

It's small, light, and very low (good for my car). It's not a quick pump, but the extra couple of seconds of pumping is ok with me. I'd recommend it, given my experience with it to date.

i called HF and complained about the long backorder (and the fact that when i ordered the thing online, it said nothing about being backordered).

anyway, they gave me the $129 version for 10% off and a 40 piece socket set :P

We've been shopping for a new jack, so we asked our paddock neighbor about theirs at the Atl. Div. They had one of the quick raise ones, but cautioned us about it. Less pumps means more force is required. Donna couldn't pump it under their Subie even putting her full weight on the handle.
