Luckily Rudino's in RTP is one of the Family owned and operated locations.

The drama you missed was THSCC being displaced from the meeting room by another group. When the manager was asked, whats the deal we've had the room reserved for more than three years now? He copped and attitude and told us that no one had called and reserved the room. He insisted that we had to call to reserve the room, and said it had always been that way. He stated, he didn't care that we reserved it eleven times a year he was the owner and could do anything he wanted.
So ineffect this local businessman? told a group who provided aproximately 360 to 400 patrons a year to leave because we were causing a scene. He didn't care about our business. So we left and went to Randy's pizza where the manager was overwhelmingly glad to see us.

I'd say that summed it up pretty well. I was kinda expecting the owner to say something to the effect of.... "sorry guys, didn't know you were coming, please take open corner for tonight and we'll work this out." That wasn't what he offered. He didn't seem to worried that ~15 of us were standing there wanting to eat, so I guess he's making plenty of money without our business, and trust me, he will remain without our business.

In regard to Randy's Pizza, let me say thanks to Erin for calling and setting us up. To Bernie's point, David at Randy's was very accommodating. Food was very good, beer was cold and the wait staff was happy to see us.

We even brought in some of the other customers into the meeting and one gentlemen spoke to Art and Neal about the club, so hey, maybe a new member from this.

We will be meeting at Randy's again next month, but I don't about this being a permanent choice. Having a segregated room really works well for us. Now the challenge is to find a new place to meet.

The new owners basically alienated the RTP volleyball crew as well.

I've never had a bad meal at Randy's Pizza -- great little place few know about. Maybe the BMW club can ditch that Rudinos too for somewhere else in the vicinity as they've been having meetings there essentially every month for years.

I advised Denis of the local BMW club about the incident. I think that cemented his thoughts for finding another place for their meetings as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing a closed sign on that particular rudinos

Just FYI,
Tyler's Tap room in Apex has a nice separated room and the food and drink is good.

We went ahead and moved the TZC meeting there.

I'm going to miss that dessert pizza stuff. Sure I'm sure it is the single reason my cholesterol sucks but goddam it was good.
