If we were to move on this (or something like it), I'd strongly recommend that we do a "test tow" with it before purchase. That way, we'd know for sure.
It's all about the ratio of the overhang to the wheelbase. Anything with a lower ratio than we have now will tow better. Which means a bus with a longer wheelbase (none have shorter overhangs).
Test tow won't work as it's a 1/2 day effort just to install a hitch. Trust me though, that thing would be a far nicer drive than the current bus. Not that the bus *needs* replacing now but I'd recommend dumping it before the trans lets go. Who knows, we might be able to get another 5 years out of the existing bus...
