Sorry for the lack of notice. I just figured out I have some time tonight to do this. I am going to be working on upgrading the forum software to a newer version (security patches). I may also be adding something to help cut down on the spambot user registration.

I will be doing this in about 5 minutes or so.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Looks right on mine. You can adjust that setting yourself.

I "think" the basic upgrade is done and working. I had to re-login. If you are reading this, you have probably already figured out how to get back in.

I am going to now work on some other stuff that I hope will not be intrusive. But don't be suprised if something acts weird for the next hour or so.

I will post when I am totally done.

Steve,

I think that what Jason is trying to say is that there is no forum overall time setting. Each user sets this for themselves. On the top menu, you can click on the "Profile" link. In there you should see a "Timezone" setting. Change that to whatever you want it to be. This is a static setting that doesn't change for daylight saving time. So if you set it and leave it, it will be right 1/2 of the year and wrong 1/2 of the year. Sorry, but that is how it works. ;) OR if it does switch for daylight saving, I haven't been paying attention.

Richard

It's done. Let me know if you experience any issues.

I couldn't get in all week...thought it was ISP issues with the hotel in Vegas only to find once I got back that thsccforums.com didn't resolve any more. I then thought to check for a change by going through thscc.com and got in. Of course, when I re-logged in *nothing* showed up as "unread" so now I have to go dig to find out what I missed.

Also, if you find something that actually works to deny spambot registrations, let me know. I've tried a couple patchs (including adding the visual confirmation) and I still get a ton of attempts on my forum.

Steve, just because you moved to west to Apex, it does not mean you switched timezones :P
