Threating to create a break away series is sad and IMHO is not the best way to do this, but it looks like that is the world we live in. It did not need to come to this and I think in the end it will show who really is trying to be flexiable in making this happen and who is not.
Hmm, I didn't read it that way. I didn't get the feeling that they were trying to establish a
new series, but rather that they still wanted to have a "state championship" event on that weekend (and are apparently able to) that everyone already had marked on their calendars. Maybe they didn't want to call it "NCAC" because it was our turn to have it, and if they called their event NCAC then it'd be pulling it out from under us (even though we're cancelling it). That just seems respectful to me.
Now I
hope I interpreted that right, and that plans are to try again to have the NCAC at Greensboro next year when it's someone else's turn.
I also hope that Tarheelers will come out to the Greensboro event on the 19-20 to represent the club. That's what I plan to do, though I probably won't bother with the event on the 13th.
Still trying to keep this positive.

But here I go... If we do option "A" will it be "CAC" or "NCAC" If it is "CAC" does that mean there is no NCAC for 2006? I shouldn't have said "series" earlier, that is not right. "Championship" would have been right. It is an ultimatum to create a break away championship that not only covers NC, but one ups NCAC by including SC as well (bigger is always better!). Respectful is not scheduling another championship on the same weekend. Now if this was a unified decision (which as it is being explained, it was not. It sounds like it was done without THSCC feedback), then I am wrong.
We should all kiss and make up and call it NCAC 2006 or call it CAC 2006 and bury NCAC for good.
I really need to shut up as I really try to be the voice of reason at times and today it just a struggle for me. I am going to go home and try to have a good weekend.
