Hey I live far away from the typical THSCC member and the directions to most sites are completely useless to me as I come from such a different direction than anybody else. Can an address be put up for the sites on the directions(or at least one close to it) so that we can mapquest our own directions. Most of the sites just have the name that we refer to them as in the directions and that's it. Especially since we have new sites now that I haven't been too. I think it would be helpful for other people in this situation and maybe new members moving in from other states that aren't familiar with NC yet.

Which site do you not know how to get to? The only one I can think of you've not been to is Rockingham. Go straight up US-1 and wahlah. :idea2:

BTW, I do agree with Rob (I may never say that again so write this down) that most of the stuff in THSCC like directions, sites, meetings, etc. are geared toward the RTP crowd. I do realize we have to cater to the majority of our members so I understand completely, but I don't have to like it right?

I guess unless the City of Rocky Mount decides to build us a new site, I'll just have to get used to driving two or more hours to all of the events. The only event we (in the East) are close to is the Christmas party, and I expect that to get moved West any year now. :(

No way I want to move as far West as Raleigh though so I'll shut up complaining now. :stick:

Rob already mentioned mapquest. His request was for the addresses of the locations so you could put them in mapquest to get the map. Trying "Laurinburg/Maxton Airport" in the Address or intersection field on mapquest doesnt seem to get the right result.

Rob for the ones you are trying to get maps for my suggestion would be to look at the maps on the site and find the closest intersection on the map to the entrance of the location (or using the text directions) and put that in as the destination in mapquest.

Ah, but you already have the address spelled out for you right there in the Mapquest link on each directions popup page. Please to notice the second line on each directions page...

"Print these directions or use Mapquest to help you find...
Note: Most MapQuest starred locations are only approximate to the site. Use the directions below for details."

Click the very prominent "Mapquest" graphic there & it will take you to the site location in Mapquest. You should also notice that, when you get to Mapquest, the address of the site (as close as we could get it) is part of the URL. Voila'!

Guess I made that Mapquest link too obvious by putting it at the very top of the directions. :poke:
