The club bus will be in Rockingham this weekend (I think Mark V. is driving it).

The bus needs to be in Laurinburg NEXT weekend (a stones throw from Rockingham).

So, what's the catch?

Mark is using the club bus to transport all the Time Trial stuff (registration, timing stuff, gear, etc) to the event, thus he was planning on driving the bus back to Raleigh afterwards (I assume Penny is ferrying the Corvette to and from Rockingham).

We need someone at the event on Sunday who can bring Mark's stuff home. That will free up the bus to be ferried directly to Laurinburg from Rockingham. You will probably need to be present at the END of the time trial.

So, who is participating/spectating on Sunday that can lend a hand?

A few possbilities come to mind:

1) Me
2) Karl Shultz

others???

Thanks for stepping up to help! We'll try to make your efforts worth while.

Scott

I'll be there for the TT on Sunday and should have some extra space in the truck.

Worst case - we leave it in the trailer, trip over it a few times at Lburg, and it comes back the following weekend.

Or how about talking Vitacco into coming down to Lburg on Sat AM with his truck?

Just a few back-up plan ideas...

Update...

There is approximately a "pickup truck" full of stuff to haul around (all the registration boxes, etc), and Mark is NOT driving the bus. If this plan is to work someone will also have to ferry the bus driver back to get their car in Apex where the bus is stored.

For the plan to work, the bus driver needs a ride home no matter what.

How about someone who's coming to spectate drive Mark's truck down?

I live in Apex and as long as all I have to transport is a driver (and what will fit on his lap) I can certainly help out. While the Focus hatchback swallows a lot, a pickup bed load of stuff and my race tires will not fit!

I am thinking of coming down to spectate on Saturday. If I had a ride back that evening, I could help out.

If worse comes to worse can we leave the bus in Rockingham and Graham and I will pick it up on Friday and transport it. This is obviously not the preferred solution but it is better than dragging it back to Raleigh and having to find someone to drag it back to Laurinburg.

With all the people that are at the track event there should be someone that can drive it to Laurinburg with someone following them and drop it off at the airport. It will save us about 1 hour or so of time just ferrying the bus.

Thanks

I am going to be at Rockingham with the cargo van and my trailer. I should have enough room to get everything and the bus driver can ride back with me also.

From the June Event Chairs:

We'd just like to say a big thanks to the folks on the autocross and track side of the house for working together on this. :beerbuds:

It will help us get an early start at Laurinburg for the June event and we have a rather large course to setup and clean in some areas.

Again Thanks Folks!!!!!!!!!

I'll check with Mark and see if he thinks everything will go in my van and the track car. If not I'll find you. Thanks

Is the driver of the bus going to have the key for the Golden Knight's gate at Laurenburg? I assume you want the bus left at the normal spot at the crossover.

We actually leave the bus inside the active airport area, it's much mroe secure.

I've got all the instructions, we'll work out the final delivery details at the event.
