Everybody moved to Facebook but I don’t recall any congratulatoey remarks towards anyone there either
FB is a great way to communicate with the larger community, but a terrible way to communicate with club members. Not to mention the various issues it has as a platform. But it super easy to implement and requires less effort to maintain so it is the "easy" if maybe not the "best" solution. It has sucked the life out of places like this. It is what it is. Facebook 1, Forum 0.
I still have no idea who runs the club (not that I worry about it). I check here once a month or less now, and if posted on FB it will be buried in my feed within seconds. This is assuming Facebook's algorithm decides it's even worth showing to me at all.
