I guess I'm out of touch lately. Didn't know anything about this.

I haven't heard much about this track.

When are y'all coming up? 1 hour from my house.

Side question: Do you drink woodford reserve when in Woodford Va?

Opens in April. NASA Mid-Atlantic has an HPDE there in late June. Gotta love another track in the area!

Supposed to open in April. We tried to get a date but the actual opening is still iffy from what I hear.

I can't help but be reminded of High Point Raceway for some reason...

NASA MA had a date on the calendar for spring 2015 as well.

If the June date happens I'll likely be racing. 25 minute practice, 15 minute qual then w2w on a new track? What could go wrong.

We are supposedly on a wait list for a date. I talked to them a couple months ago now. They were suppose to call me, but I should probably follow up.

The Track is mostly paved now. John Felton of NASA MA and Chris Cobetto went and toured taking a few pictures recently.

Groups had dates for Dominion Raceway last year. Just because they are on the calendar, don't assume it's going to happen. If Rob's saying it's "mostly" paved, a spring date is probably questionable.

That, and there is a lot more to a track than paving.

I thought I posted this, but I guess I forgot to hit submit.

They posted a video with a few cars running the track. For at rack built in 2014-2016 I'm fairly unimpressed at the amount of runoff they put in. The music on the video is terrible, there are no car noises so feel free to mute it. T1's sand pit is a complete joke, the banked 180* after T1 looks to be designed to roll people over if they drop a wheel. Don't go off on the inside either because that's another huge dropoff. 1/2 way through the course there is a turn with about 1/2 a car's width of space of runoff on exit.

by looking at the artist renderings the inside of the 180 is going to be a pond. I've always wanted to be like James Garner in Grand Prix.
