For the last two events (a Rallycross and an Autocross), the bus starting battery has been completely dead. It's relatively new and will take/hold a charge, but there appears to be some kind of residual current draw when the bus is off. You can short a solenoid to use the auxiliary batteries to start it, but if we keep flattening the main battery then it will eventually ruin it. I started looking at the wiring harness, but I don't want to get into that mess, so I took the cheap/easy way out.
The bus now has a battery disconnect switch on the main battery:

If you want to use the bus, then just open the hood and close the switch. When you will not be running the bus for a while, then open the switch. I put a few stickers in the bus to remind users of the battery disconnect switch. Please leave it disconnected when you leave it here so the next person can use it.
