For those who were not at the club meeting tonight, Jeremy Ellison is leaving the Triangle in favor of a job opportunity on the west coast. He was recently elected autox VP and was heavily involved with the club for the last 2 years. I might seem biased given that I have been driving his car for the last 2 years but he has been one of the more selfless, personable club members we've had for a long time and he will surely be missed. I want to congratulate Jeremy and let him know that THSCC wishes him well.

A replacement autox VP is in the works.

But if you have a hair-line crack in a vacuum hose on your DD, they'll take you to jail.

A most excellent opportunity for a most excellent guy. Glad Jeremy was part of the club, and he will be missed! I hope he stays a virtual member, and schedules return visits to coincide with club events.

Good luck!

How dare you bring your race car to a track that was built before I decided to move next to the race track! Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars? Not in my backyard.

They probably dont' sell many BMWs in CA due to the nightmare of the dreaded CEL and inspections out there.

Best wishes with the move to Silicon Valley dude!

I can't say that I'm not a tiny bit envious as I'd love to live in California again someday. I'll miss seeing that red AP2 at the events and thanks again for letting me co-drive with you guys last year. That was probably one of my favorite autocrosses.

Good luck Jeremy & Erin!

Thanks everyone! We will miss this club. It has been a great source of friends & fun. I intend to ensure that our visits to NC coincide with at least 1 THSCC event per year :D

Jeremy,

Silicon Valley? I'm jealous! we moved here from there in 1986 knowing we could never go back financially. Sure miss the weather.

Lots of autocrossing in that area!

Who is the employer?

Dick

Well actually CA is loaded with BMW's and that Prius thing.
The smog inspection can be your worst nightmare - especially if you have some type of race car. Welcome to the world of "CARB" legal parts and gross polluter registration stickers that require you to smog your car every year.

When we bought a brand new C5 Z06 (it came from Washington), we had to get it smogged because it only had a 50 state emission sticker instead of the 50 state plus CA sticker. I could never figure that one out - I thought that CA was one of the 50 states - but not to the DMV I guess.

One of the joys of living in CA
