Well actually CA is loaded with BMW's and that Prius thing.
The smog inspection can be your worst nightmare - especially if you have some type of race car. Welcome to the world of "CARB" legal parts and gross polluter registration stickers that require you to smog your car every year.

When we bought a brand new C5 Z06 (it came from Washington), we had to get it smogged because it only had a 50 state emission sticker instead of the 50 state plus CA sticker. I could never figure that one out - I thought that CA was one of the 50 states - but not to the DMV I guess.

One of the joys of living in CA

Having experienced CA smog, the CARB rules were a small price to pay as bad as they are. The smog was really bad.

Former Californian . . . sure miss the weather but due to California's many good points it was too expensive and crowded.

Well shoot, we just get to liking people and they leave. Good luck to Jeremy and Erin!

As a parting gift, here's a picture of Jeremy with a camera growing out of his head :)

I was born in San Jose, got family in waterford. My sister was born in Santa Clara.Ever chased cows with a tractor, last I was out there. I helped my uncle clear land for cattle, they train and sell horses with my cousin .One of a few, big family.Anyhow, We love going out and seeing their family. My uncle Steve used to be a fire fighter in Manteca California. He is retired now, I tell you he can handle a powerstroke f350 like a sportscar. He s cool. Go to San Francisco and go down lombard street in a fully loaded rental minivan, we gave her a workout in the Norcal mountian roads.Yosemite in winter is great, in summer is cool. Love it out there, go to fishermans wharf, memory tells me that there is a submarine there, ww2 that you can tour.
