If "whoever" will let us set up, I say go for it. I'll be happy to attend. Since we have the bus day this Saturday, the bus and trailer should be nice and clean in and out. Anyone know who we'd need to talk to in order to get permission to park there? We'll need some business cards to hand out.... I can print up some home brewed ones in a pinch.

Don't need anyone's permission, we'll just have to get there early enough to get a parking spot :).

We have done 4 C&C down here with the Autox cars, tire trailers, magnets.. The whole shebang and it has generated us interest. So much som at our last event in December we had the Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn food truck come to our event (because they saw us at C&C) as a trial to sell food at lunch. He had to close because he ran out of food

I've always wondered about showing up at Cars & Coffee as a club too. If we had a dozen autocross cars out there with numbers and decals/stickers, we'd generate some interest I think.

I still haven't been to one at Waverly Place (moved from Briar Creek) because I'm always working but I'd love to get to one soon. On the plus side, the new location is only 5 miles from Chris' house so getting the bus there is a bit easier than Briar Creek.

Looking ahead though, the March one falls on the 1st, the same day as the Novice School. Maybe a THSCC apperance at the April one?

I'm not sure if I'm going to make it to the next meeting, but I can throw up a proposal for the RTP C&C and see if we can get some sort of hard number of people saying "yes, I'll be there". The novice school might need to be capped if things go well, haha.

I think we always cap the novice school at 40 so we can allow seat time vs instructors. According to James, we should be over run w/ Mini's this year.

<-- chuckling at the thought of anyone from Triangle Italians doing an autocross. Would like to see it, but highly doubtful.

tmr-nc is the miata club for the area.... they seem to not like fast paced things, so if you go and try talking to them, good luck. Also, I believe their next meeting will be this coming weekend.

The TMR-NC website is dead and the broader scope MSCCNC.org has only seen a posting since Nov last year. That said, I don't think I'll be visiting any mazda clubs to promote THSCC.

The website is being fixed according to an email I got last night. that being said, I really dont blame you. I honestly think it would be a waste of time... I think you have all the attendance you will ever get out of that club (me... if you can even call me a memeber)

I'm another non-participating TMR-NC member. While their main website is down, their separate forum website is still operational. I posted the THSCC Novice school info in the Events section of their forums. Having been to a couple of their meetings, I don't expect it to draw much interest, but it can't hurt.

Any contacts with Hurricane PCA? I just checked their calendar...they meet second Tues of the month and have only social activities listed. Are any of our P-car driving members also PCA members who would be willing to chat them up?

The Hurricane PCA group, I seem to recall, were the clowns that crashed into the security fence at the old Sanford Airport, and ultimately got EVERYONE kicked off the property. Do you really want to link up with those AH's??????
