EDIT: Holiday party is confirmed for Saturday, December 8th at the usual Bill Ellis' BBQ in Wilson. This will be in lieu of the December club meeting (November meeting will be held as usual).

December 1st. It's been the 1st Saturday in December for at least the last 13 years I've been a member.

At the last meeting, it was said to be the 8th.

Its the December club meeting that is skipped in lieu of the party, not the November one.

Can you confirm with Bowie? It has ALWAYS been the 1st Saturday, so that may have been an assumption on my part.

I recommend getting this posted to the Calendar soon, then... many of us who don't follow along as closely certainly haven't picked up on this....

I'm out this year:

December 8
ROAD ATLANTA: 14 Hour (Chumpcar)
"Santa in Atlanta Enduro"

I've emailed Bowie for confirmation....once we are booked, I'll have the website, FB and the forum updated.

I say let's choose whichever day has the least conflicts so the most people can make it.

At the meeting it seemed that people didn't care and voted Dec 8th because they just wanted a date on their calendar.

Other than Dustin, is the 8th going to be a problem?

FYI, why this strikes me as a surprise because Bowie generally books Bill's the very next Monday following the party for the next year. As you know finding a place at all or switching dates this late is generally an exercise in futility.

Bowie stated that both dates were reserved, because the first Saturday fell on the 1st of December, we might want to do the 2nd. There is no conspiracy to switch it behind your back, Vincent. :-P We just had a quick informal poll at the last meeting, and most people preferred the 8th so that is what was sort of agreed upon. I'm assuming your vote is for the 1st rather than the 8th?

Hmmm...I wonder if Bowie forgot and didn't book it as early as he did in the past?

I have no preference on the date. My wife was asking so she could plan her work party aroound our club party, so I just need to let her know.
