One of the perks of THSCC membership is access to the forums, online Heel and Toe as well as the “passcode” used for early event registration. Only THSCC members should have access to these. Senior officers at their discretion may allow a few non members (Affiliated track program staff, NCAC representatives from other clubs, etc.) access as well. Also only club members can accumulate points toward end of year championships.

Club membership runs from January through December. We give 3-4 months of a grace period to give people a chance to renew. But after that grace period, I compare the forum membership against the official club membership list and then disable the forum accounts for members who have let their club membership expire.

So this is your notification that if you have not renewed, that in two weeks or so, your forum account is going to be deactivated. Deactivating an account is not the same as deleting it. Post history, etc. will still exist while an account is deactivated. If you renew after the deactivation, or even rejoin the club at a much later date, I can re-enable your account. In addition to this notice on the forum, I will be sending out emails so that those who don't check the forum frequently will be notified. So if your forum account lists a valid email account you will get a notice if you are about to loose your forum access.

If you know that you have just forgotten to renew, then use the form from the main THSCC web site to renew…

http://www.thscc.com/general/forms/mem_app.pdf

The form contains information on both how to join initially as well as how to renew your membership. Also, if you renew, just let me know via email at forums@thscc.com that you have renewed and I can update my list.

I have put together a list of those who I believe have not renewed for 2012. As usual the list is rather large and as usual it is rather late. As mentioned, above there will most likely be mistakes, so if you feel you have renewed, just let me know and provide some details so I can give those to Bowie and have him update his spreadsheet. Also as mentioned above, I will be emailing those on the list to notify them. If your forum account is linked to a bad email address, then we can't contact you.

As always feel bad about posting a list on the forum. But I also realize that most people on the list have just plain forgotten to renew and due to bad email addresses, this sometimes is the only way to give notice.

I expect that the reminder emails will go sometime next week and I will give people about a two weeks after the emails are sent out to respond before I disable forum access. Feel free to post here, PM me or email forums@thscc.com with any questions.

Is this a typo? At least I'm in some good company. Couple of current and past officers on this list. I thought I paid but can't remember. I'll shoot a check out tomorrow.

I have heard back from a few people and the list has been updated. I don't know what the breakdown (mail via USPS, at event, at end of year party, other?) is for joining/renewing. I am assuming that most mail them in, but I could be wrong. The trend is continuing this year (as it has in the past) that joining/renewing at an event or at the end of year party is the largest factor regarding "lost" memberships.

This may not be a popular recommendation, but IMHO, renew via mail. Make sure you include a printout of the membership form (with pertinent info) along with the payment.

I renewed at the xmas party last year. Did this list not get those people included on it?

List has been updated. Emails have been sent out.

They should, but something seems to get lost somewhere for those. I have no idea how many people renew at the party and what the ultimate success rate is. This is one big reason why the paper system needs to go away.

Ditto. I do so at the party every year and this is the first time I've gotten that e-mail. I guess I'll have to start sending Richard a PDF of my cancelled checks.

The problem was just making sure that xmas party renewals get updated on the master sheet. We'll make sure that happens this year. Sorry for the inconvenience, just let Richard know if you are in this camp and we'll verify and get it fixed.

List updated again...

As long as the master membership list (spreadsheet) gets updated all should be good. I use that as the basis for the purge.

Can I pay my forgotten 2012 dues and 2013 renewal with the same form/check? Or do I renew now and then send 2013 in January?

I am pretty sure you could just send in one form and one check and make a note for Bowie that you are paying an overdue 2012 and renewing for 2013. No need to wait until January.

I shouldn't be on this list. I definitely renewed. Also, I sent an email to the aforementioned address, but never got a response.

Jeremy, I found your email and have removed you from the list.

If anyone one else has tried to communicate with me and have not received a response please let me know.
