New to THSCC and signed up for the T&T this weekend. BUT the weatherman is calling for rain all day Sunday.
So, what is the clubs policy on rain? Do we slog thru Sunday with soaked clothes and interiors or will somebody cancel the event?
Thanx for any info to help me decide to drive 2 hours down to LaurinburgNC...

Unless there's lightning, hail or enough wind to blow the cones around or make it dangerous for the bus driver to get the bus there, the event happens. So consider it practice for the points autox that gets rained on, like the awesome one we had a NCCAR last year.

Rain when it's 60+ degrees is one thing. Rain when it's starting in the 40's and headed DOWN temp wise is another. I have absolutely NO desire to run in these conditions and the tires will have no grip. Pointless to run the mustang, I'll slide all over the place. I'm willing to call this one off and just take a hit to the checking account. If you die hards want to run the event, please make sure you have a brief safety meeting to let folks know to stay safe and smart in this weather and driving conditions.

I'd say right now you can count me out, I have no rain suit, shoes or gloves for these conditions. Yes, I AM a wimp, or a sissy, or what ever else you want to call me....

Add me to the wimp list. Is there any way we can re-shedule for next weekend or the another weekend? I'll help with setup the day before etc. I really wanna get some seat time in the dry.

Considering the time frame, I'd imagine we'd need to press forward w/ this event. Maybe we can hold an additional T&T down the road. We've already committed money and effort to this date.

[rant]Guys listen clearly......24-36 hours before an event *IS NOT* the time to whine and complain. Rain/cold has been in the forecast for 5+ days. If there was any chance we would have considered rescheduling, now is not the time.[/rant]

Gwen, can you come set them straight (ie the person who autocrossed in 25*F weather last weekend).

If you want dry seat time, meet us in Lburg in 2 hours because I'm packed up and about to head out.

And you know that NC weather is likely to change in that magical 5 days. You guys press forward, you'll just be w/ out me. Like I said, I simply don't have the rain gear for an event like this.

My car blissfully took the decision out of my hands as my radiator has sprung a leak. :brow:
