I think the back room is worth a shot as well. Excluding us, if that's a typical Wednesday they shouldn't have much trouble fitting us in.

The location of Rally Point is hard to beat however the service sucked last night and the tables in room we were in were less than ideal, oh and after two meals there now, I'm not crazy about the food either. However, the beer was cold and as I said, the location is nearly perfect so I would be game for giving them another shot, we just need them to commit to giving us two dedicated servers.

^^^this^^^

Food is just OK, but the beer is cold.

I was looking at the tables and we thinking how odd do eat off of a poker table, but I guess it worked. So from what I'm hearing, we're willing to give this place another shot. OK, I'll talk w/ Drew and have him set us up for the main room for the Feb meeting. Sounds like there is interest in the outside patio as well when the weather turns better.

So we all agree we go at least 1 more time? I agree, the location is very hard beat.

I had no real problems (lafffff) with Rallypoint, but they were severely understaffed with just the one server and the manager running food and drinks. If they have at least one other person, preferably two, things would have been a lot quicker.

The room isn't necessarily bad, but the seating situation was, uh, interesting.

Oh wait, $3 Blue Moon Abbey's. I'm still in.

I wasn't expecting too much since it was a Blue Moon but it turned out to actually be a real beer.

I'm on the fence about Rally Point. I like the beer selection, location can't be beat and if we get the bigger room seating shouldn't ever be a problem. However the menu leaves a lot to be desired and I saw 4 people I work with while there.

Despite my dislike (or dread) of traveling east from RTP on I-40 during rush hour, I really don't care where we meet. But don't move the meeting away from Wednesdays -- some things are just supposed to be a certain way, and that's one of them.

I talked to drew before I read these comments and he personally brought up the fact that the service was slow.... BUT he did plan on the crowd being small like the first meeting. So now he knows THSCC likes to roll 60 deep to meetings, he will have more staff.

LOL.... Yeah, I need to talk to Drew and let him know we're headed back for next month. I guess a good location was enough to bring folks out despite the weather. I had initially said to plan for 25. I think we hit 40.

I didn't find the service to be bad at all. It's a room full of people, all with split checks, at large tables, and nearly nobody paying in cash, at a sports bar that has entrees for under $10. I guess I don't expect perfection. :)

Thanks for reminding me I need to stop at the store and pick some up. Blue Moon Abbey rules.

What's it compare to? I got some of the New Belgium Snow Day recently and was not a big fan, very hoppy (which I normally like) but tasted like a Christmas wreath had been soaking in it. OH, and steve I'm sure this place sells Swillweiser so we have to go to the next meeting.
