Sebastian Kokoszka, our new rallyx VP, knows the owners of Rallypoint sports bar. The officers meet there last night and Rallypoint would like for us to start meeting there. Not sure if we'll get the private room, but they said they would work w/ us. So for next weeks 2012 kick off meeting, we're meeting here....

http://rallypointsportgrill.com/

It's on Harrison Ave in Cary right off of I40. It's located in a shopping center, so plenty of parking. Drew of Rallypoint said that we would probably have a hard time getting the private room on Wednesday's, but if we were willing to make a meeting day change he could probably accommodate us. I'd like to get opinions on the service and food before make an decisions on this place.

See you at Rallypoint next Wed! Normal meeting time....

It would be great if this worked out. Pretty easy access for us Durhamites - easier than Blinco's was, anyway. Is the shopping center the same one with the Sam's Club in it?

Booya, I can walk there from work. (Not SAS either)

Karl, yes. If you remember where Torrero's was it is in their old spot.

Just walking over from the corner where you're panhandling?

I thought the Cary police shot panhandlers on sight.

They said they would accommodate us, so I'm willing to give this a shot. Can't be any worse than when we met at Milton's pizza.

Thats exactly the point. Why not go back to Miltons if we're going to have a non private setting, they bent over backwards for us.....

They have a private meeting room. Only issue is if we continue to go here, we'd need to change meeting night. Not going down that path until I get some feedback on Rallypoint from the club. It's in a great location, so good for everyone in the triangle. Maybe not so good for follks in Bahama

The treated us well at the officers meeting. I'm voting we give this place a try. I have a few other places I want to try. Going here first because Sebastian's inlaws run the place, so it has a slight club connection already.

It can't hurt to try. Just don't move the meeting to Mondays....

Even the 'private' room is not completely shut off from the rest of the place. I honestly don't think it's a big deal.

I'd presume if we move the meeting, it will be to a tuesday or thursday.

That's Sam's closed 2+ years ago. (moved out to 55/540) But yes, it's that strip.

I'd vote for Milton's, but the back room really isn't any larger than Blinco's.

I've just talked to Drew, the owner of Rally Point and he has stated we can have the private room for tomorrow so we can get a feel for how this would work for us. This is a good start for us. If we choose to press forward w/ this loaction, we'd have to change meeting nights, so just bear that in mind.

We'll ask for some feedback after tomorrows meeting if we want to continue meeting at Rally point. I also asked Drew to plan for 30 of us tomorrow. Considering the nasty weather report for Wed afternoon, I figure we'll have some no shows of some of the regulars.

I'll be there. I work a mile away from there anyway. ;-)

I welcome the day change because I have a FE class Wednesday nights. My vote is Thursday.
