Have we ever weighed the club trailer, with all the stuff loaded in it?

I'm trying to help sell the old bus (it's currently parked at the end of my driveway), and I'd like to be able to tell people "It towed a XXXX pound trailer at highway speeds". I have gotten questions from people who want to tow with it (worried about the power because it's non-turbo), and I figure the best way to answer is to say what we've actually done.

I would guess that the trailer is between 2000 and 5000 pounds, but that's a broad range. :)

Whatever the club trailer weighs, that is the max someone would want to tow with the old bus, based on our experience with it, right?

I'd guess that the trailer weighs 2000 lbs unloaded with all the gear in it I'm sure its over 5000lbs. The 2000lb trailer weight is before we added all the shelves so even at 5000lbs the estimate is low.

I would be honest and recommend keeping tow weight below 4000. We were towing 5-6k and it was a bit much for it to maintain speed on inclines.

Is it clean and did we include a lot of high quality pictures on the ad? I'm surprised it has taken so long.

Cross post to triad forums, scca forums? There's got to be a budding club out there somewhere who would want this.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Here is Chris's craigslist ad. He does have a link in there to a bunch of pictures. Chris said that most people who are interested in it are disappointed that the seats have been removed.

Anyone who is on those other forums, please cross-post it. I will post it on the 4x4 forums I'm on (people looking for something cheap they can camp in that can tow their 4x4 rig to the trail).
