Just a quick reminder that we are meeting at Blinco’s this week. It’s right near the Duraleigh road intersection on Glenwood. If you pull into the Haverty’s parking lot, it’s the building closest to the road. Just to note, the room is small but doable. The plus is there are pool tables right outside so we can have some fun after the meeting.

same time, new place. As always, discussion on Blinco’s is needed as we continue to look for a new home.

Yeah, the room could become an issue if the have a large 40+ turnout, however as James stated when we were there in that case dining time could spill into the tables in the adjoining gaming area and when the meeting commences people could sit on chairs around the wall, I think the room could accommodate 50 people though it would be a bit "cozy". We'll see what others think tomorrow I suppose.

any feedback on Blinco's? Food was great, service was good and the beer was cheap....but....the room was just too small. I guess we're off to new location number 3 for the August meeting.

Stay tuned....

I've been waiting for the "how was Blinco's thread". Yes, the room was small, but I think changing the table arrangement could help with that. Room size was the ONLY negative I could see. The beer (for those who cared) was cheap, the food was good, the service was quick and good, the check came in a reasonable time and was correct. You could carry on a conversation with those around you, and hear during the meeting. The management bent over backwards to make us welcome and comfortable, bringing extra fans to help circulate air into the room. What's not to like. I think we should give it another month, at least, before running off to yet another place. These guys really tried, and, until recently, the average attendance at our meeting over the past year has been less than 30.

Just my .02, and I drive almost an hour to get to Blinco's.

sooooooo..... anyone else want to try Blinco's again? I'm OK w/ it and I can stop buy and ask about rearranging the room to maximize seating.

I agree, let's stick it out for another month or two.

I say give Blinco's another try as well, I'll try to show up early and work with the staff to arrange the tables in rows rather than the "U" configuration they had, I'm thinking the room could handle 40 pretty easily with a different table arrangement.

Another point to make is that they graciously gave us 2 gift cards for the raffle. I think the least we can do is give them our business another time or two. I think we can rearrange better next time as well.

i loved my roomy table

it seemed like a good place. i didnt order any food, but it seemed like they were constantly in and out and trying their hardest to please us.

im down for going there again. nothing seemed negative other than the amount of room, but that seems like it can be taken care of.
