:word: That's a DAMN fine deal right there. Hats of to the folks who pulled this off.    This was a no-brainer IMHO.

Do you want to take it for a test drive before we put anything on the top?

HA! Literally the first time I drove the bus, I get out of Chris's house, make the 2 lefts and then there is a bridge to drive under. Well I have to say I had no idea how tall the bus is, but I cringed as I drove under it :).

This is bull. There is no awning or no generator therefore this is NOT an "upgrade" of any kind.

I protest and call for a FULL INVESTIGATION AND SUBSEQUENT IMPEACHMENT OF ALL OFFICERS INVOLVED. Have you people no shame?!?!?

Actually no officers were involved. Dustin and I called Rodney on the way home after putting a deposit on it. We were kinda hoping the officers would balk so we could flip it and make $5k :)

I'd say the bus was a better deal than the other vehicle we bought in Smithfield today :)

I Image that V10.

Ok, Mike, guess I'm the only one to bite. What else did you buy?

zOMG, the club has now gone COMPLETELY ROGUE. SOMEONE PUT A STOP TO THE MADNEZZ.

Seriously, good job finding such a smokin deal. And here I thought this was the perfect buy. :) Seriously, that *is* a smokin deal...that thing was probably $150k new (and no, I'm not just throwing that out there because it has an awning and generator...it really is setup nice already!).

It's OK. We still have 5k to attach an awning and generator to it.

Not long enough to know that if we did get an awning and generator it would be installed by the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.

Andrew, this is our snarky way to say "Donnie was making a (bad) joke because the powers that be say no generator and no awning." It's really a long running joke now, and not much more. I personally still think, at the very least, the bus should have a small generator as a backup for the 12V system just in case. I couldn't give two shits about having an awning as I think they're kind of useless, but that part of the joke goes hand in hand and originates from the days when the argument was "Triad has one!"

Just to be clear, neither Ryan nor I are picking on *you*, or even anyone specifically. Just poking the proverbial bear.

Aaron's suggestion about a printer and barcode scanner are probably a better way to spend a little money and get some bang for the buck, though. We've proven we *can* get by with no generator...

I think the proper phrase for Rodney is "plausible deniability." But, great job on the find/purchase. Look forward to seeing it out on the course!

re: the awning. i remember an event at Sanford where i decided to stand beside the bus late in the day. after about thirty minutes i realized that my being was in fact reaching a temperature worthy of searing of the flesh.

i will never understand how anyone, no matter how much in the know they supposedly are, could deny shade to the general membership. seriously...... WTF?

4 minutes of driving eight times a year and for all of this a lifetime of skin cancer pain and suffering. yep, things like this just motivate me more and more.................

BTW, NICE BUS!!!!! i mean it, nice work.

We've been transporting at least one easy-up in the trailer for at least the last 4 years. Feel free to set it up at the next event you attend and want shade by the bus.
