I'm compiling them as a google doc, but I think you have a better idea :).

How far away are we looking? Their are some potential sites in Fayetteville.

Also, we previously ran at the Lumberton airport. I don't know whatever happened with that, but maybe that can be reconsidered.

The general sentiment seems to be close to the greater Triangle. I think Fayetteville is as far as Sanford and Danville.

Yeah, but that was more suited to rally-x due to the gravely nature of the pavement by my recollection.

Didn't Miles Beam put together a package for approaching a potential site owner years ago? Anyone have that laying around?

Have we gotten too safety conscious? I think part of the reason we don't consider sites is because of hard objects. When I started doing this, the goal was to avoid them, and if you hit them, then it was really too bad for you.

I'm just sayin.

Yes, but I have never seen it. Dishman might have it, I also have Miles's email mbeam@milestonetechnologies.com

This might have potential, off Davis drive in RTP.

This one might be too small but it has a paddock area (front lot) and a potential grid area(rear lot) outside of the main area.

There is one parking lot at Wake Tech. Coll. that is not bad. They used it for the motorcycle school.

Also not far from there is an airport and i didn't heard small airplane flying from quite a while not sure if its still in operation.

These are great suggestions! Hopefully, we can get one or two....That Capital Auto Auction site looks delish as well....James M's suggestions look too pristine to be true---that dialight site is droolworthy!

The one where I searched for Dialight isn't actually a Dialight building. The company my mother works for has a factory in Roxboro. Wanted to see what their lot looked like. It was tiny.

This is actually the Adesa Auto Auction lot, next door to IAA (Insurance Auto Auctions). The paved Adesa lot looks good, but I'm fairly sure they always have some sort of cars parked on that lot.

FYI per one of my old course design maps from Pleasanton the "racing area" was 400 feet wide and 600 feet long. We generally left a 40 to 50 buffer from the outside edge of the course to the fences.

The council and various other groups (SCCA, PCA, Corvette Council, etc.) were responsible for any fence damage.
