Anyone going to Ft Lauderdale?

Looks long -- question is how long is too long to efficiently store?

Same basic principal, but more "down home" (i.e. east of I95ish)

What's another 5 feet when we're already at about 40' long? :)

Maybe we could sawzall off about 4 feet of overhang behind the rear axle.

Lame. No power tools were required to lower the roof on the current bus!

True, a low RR bridge in Baliey, NC was used instead. :P

Solves that trailering stability issue too.

Maybe we should just do that with the CURRENT bus?!

on top of stability, dont forget about the added power to weight ratio... so maybe the smaller weaker engine wont be as much of an issue.

This one's a bit older and bigger than we'd like, but it's low miles, long wheelbase, and CHEAP. And it's local.

I'd love to stick my head under the rear bumper and evaluate what it would take to lop 4 feet off the back of this thing. I'm half serious.

And rewiring rear lights, maybe a window replacement, possibly the AC if the rear unit is in the back. We'd need to disassemble the box down to the metal substructure to do it right.

Just would take time, tools, and a bit of money, bit I bet it's doable.

We could just hack the back off and finish the rest with 2x4's. I could have that knocked out in a weekend or two :)

Seriously though, this isn't a bad idea if we could find space to do the work over time.

If the club buys me a plasma cutter, I'm volunteering space and time to do it.

Heck I'm tempted to buy the thing and make it into an RV...

I thought y'all wanted a diesel? That ad says V10- or are you talking about another vehicle?

Couple of pages back we debated and decided either diesel or V10 is fine. In fact there may be a few "bad" years for the diesel to avoid but I haven't read anything catastrophic about the V10.

My, that's inexpensive...almost too inexpensive. worth a look, and without seats in the coach section we can design the interior to preference, almost in a quasi workstation format. I like it.
