Do you guys need the bus for set-up? I was thinking you had all the cones you needed at Four Oaks. If it can show up the morning of the event, I could get it there as early as you need it.

Fine with me. We have just enough to lay out the two courses. We used to have enough to set up everything else, but they were taken for some other use and never returned. :whoknows:

Thanks for bring the bus Stephen. Come by 7:30 the morning of the event. We'll use the cones we have to set up.

Why don't we do the work Good Friday a 2:00 p.m.? Who can come to help then?

How are we going to cut the grass? Can someone bring a big riding lawnmower? Do we need to bring shovels and wheel barrows?

 The events happen because people volunteer their time to make it happen. Nobody said it was hard, only that it is necessary.

This does not apply any less when it comes to event chairs. If you would like to volunteer to chair all of the events at Four Oaks that's fantastic, but I don't agree that we no longer need event chairs.

we will most likely be running.. the toyota at the event. Although eventually the sentra will be ready.. it will simply take a long time to get there..
anyway.. eventually we will get our stuff together.

We're getting a new lawnmower before then, & hoping to fix the tractor.

I'll be at work that Friday at 2pm. If we're going to do this the weekend before, I'd rather not use vacation time. I'd rather just do it Saturday or Sunday.

Trust me, "chairing" the events at my house really doesn't add that much to what I'm going to do anyway. So sure, I'll chair all the events at Four Oaks. I'll chair all the events at BMW Farm, too, if I need to. :D

Seriously, I like chairing events. Autox or Rallyx. I get to set up a course that I know I'm going to have fun on, I get to play around for free (and I can even set up a play course for me & then change it after a few runs to make it safe for the crazy people), and then I get free entry on race day. The only downside is having to deal with the Autox or Rallyx vp's and their Urgent Deadlines. :P

So Walter says that he wants to set most of the stuff up when the bus arrives on the 18th, and that we can do the course cleanup & cone placement whenever. So how does Saturday the 11th sound?

We'll be removing more tree fragments & I'll hopefully be mowing the courses and pit/grid areas with the tractor. I'll use the week between setup and the rallyx to scrape all the bumps, dips and ruts.

I have some ideas for lengthening the courses that I'd like to try out, too. Need to time launch intervals and test for rutting. I think I might know some people who'd want to assist with that.

I am off wed, thurs, and sun.. right now at work... If anyone needs work done, i may be able to come over, and help to work and do things..(much like that one day, where we all went to your place. and ran all day for nothing) i have a wrx.. which will soon have nice A/T tires.. though i am being nice to her right now, i dont feel much like being mean to her too much. it would be fun to do some donuts and learn ins and outs of subaru-ness.

Great. We won't need the bus until early on the day of the event.
