Yeah, that perfectly serviceable option around the afternoon jump was about 2 or 3 seconds slower than taking the jump. So 6-9 seconds total penalty if you took that route. I think I'm the only one who took it, though.
It's good to see that everyone's ok with hitting jumps like that one at speed now. I'm glad I won't have to hear any whining about my smooth little jumps anymore, since they pale in comparison.
I got some pictures of 2wd cars, but I'm going to need to see some quality video of me getting air before I post them.

I was working the station right near the jump for the afternoon SO/NO4 session, and I think Dustin (?) took the alternate route every time.
The jump really wasn't THAT dramatic, though obviously you could do some damage if you hit it wrong or landed wrong.....
Either way, if you had a car you were worried about damaging, I don't think the alternate route was a bad option.
Of course, at least one person combined the 2 routes, taking the entry to the alternate (non-jump) route and then taking the long way around the next cone after the jump......probably only added 5-6 seconds to their time though.....

I dunno, I thought a great time was had by all!!!
