So, given that the cold index will be below freezing for at least a part of Saturday, I had a thought. Does anybody have access to a fairly large (army type) tent that we could run a couple of these garage heaters in that everybody keeps bragging about? I know there will be plenty of people that may be less than happy about these temps, especially after the first couple hours, and I'd hate to see us cut the day short due to semi-frozen appendages. Of course, this all assumes that this is an acceptable idea to our host and event coordinators. Any thoughts?

As a definite enemy of the cold, that is the best idea I've heard since the Rally-X was announced.

If someone has a big tent, I have one of the larger Kerosene heaters we can use. Probably 2 total would be better.

So I have one of the heaters, also we'll need:

Tent (anyone?)
Electricity 110V (Kevin?)
Drop Cords (anyone?)
Extra Kerosene (I'll bring the 1st tank)

Step up folks and let'e stay warm!

And I thought you were talking about ice racing... That's what's on my list between now and the first auto-x up here in April  . (Except for VIR next month. :woo: )

Stay warm down there!

I was talking today to Mike about this, sort of. Asking if I should bring my bug generator and jet heater. So I could supply those, but not a tent.

Go to your local rent all company and get one for the day. I am sure they have plenty as only a fool would get married...I mean married outside in January :)

Every one chips a couple of bucks in and you are even. Or charge those who did not bring a heater to hang out with you in your nice warm tent.
