Now, I still want to try to get video.

Is there any way that I can sign up now for gate, and sign up Chuck for tech so that we can both get pics & vid instead of course working our off heats? Who should I be asking, the event chairs?

since i stood collecting dirt over every inch of my person for what seemed like 4 hours at the bmw farm last event i say sure Ash. sounds good to me.

*I* think (and please note that I am in no position of authority) that if we get enough entrants (like 50), your and Chuck's official work assignment should be Videographer!

Well that's what I've already been doing with the video I've been shooting. Obviously if I'm shooting, I can't be doing something "useful". And I can only shoot when I'm not running, so I've needed to pull someone else out of the worker pool to run my camera for the other shift.

What let Ash get so much vid was that she was out there all day. If she were running (which I encourage BTW!) she'd need to find a "teammate" to do the shooting for the other half of the day. I'm OK with that, Ash, but let's talk about it the morning of the event, rather than trying to establish some sort of policy here on the forums for an event that's 6 weeks away.

Well she's waiting on video from me, of course, so she can put together the best possible DVD. (Most delays can be traced to me, it seems... )

I've got the stuff all captured, and I'm in the process of splitting out all the clips by driver so her job is easier. I'll try to get a DVD in the mail to her before the week is up. That reminds me, Ash, please PM me your postal addy...

Thanks for letting me use your footage Carl! Some of my video footage is unuseable due to my main camera suffering a dirt hemmorage during the early afternoon. It really messed something up and the tape shows it. No worries though, I still have a decent amount of stuff I can use, but more never hurts!

I'm sending a PM right now...

I'll post links as soon as I have something up!
