...during the Feb 9-10 weekend that Mark is running the DE?

I'd volunteer to be the event co-chair. The van and trailer would already be there. Anyone else interested? This would be a totally non-points, just for fun event for seat time and building relations with VIR. Hopefully it would either be fairly dry or frozen. The site would get too torn up for me to feel comfortable if it was wet.

I wish you'd emailed me about this before posting, Kevin. Of course we'd all like to have a rallycross at VIR- the problem is price. I can call and ask to see if the prices have changed, but IIRC the site rental fee is $2500 per day, plus they have higher insurance requirements, plus having an ambulance on site (doubt we could share the ambu with the TT folks). That means to get even close to breaking even we'd need to have either:
  • 100 entries
  • A $100 entry fee
  • A $2000 sponsor
If you can provide the latter, let's talk!

Also, the only HPDE that the van and trailer go to is Rockingham. That is probably your smallest bump in the road to running there though.
