OK, let's go with trying to have the Dec 3rd event at OCS. We've got some logistical challenges to overcome, but I think we can do it. I'll get in touch with Kim at OCS and make sure she's still OK with that.

In the meanwhile, event registration is open, so go ahead and sign up, and tell your friends!

I'm willing to help however I can. You and Kevin don't need to carry the load.

Thanks for the offer, Chris. I actually think we're in pretty good shape here now- the trick was how to get the event set up on Saturday and get the bus to the event with the Street Survival thing going on basically at the same time.

I got a hold of Kim at OCS today and she's cool (and psyched) with the idea of the Dec 3rd event, and she said that she'll have the lunch cart lady out there for us. We can even use our site rental fee from the last time for this event, so we're good to go. All we need now are some competitors...

Looks like sixteen so far :). Do you want us to post around in the forums or have you done it?

Hey Chuck,

If you see any likely forum that I haven't already posted in, go for it! Then tell me what forum(s) you posted in, so I can add it/them to my list.

Thanks!

Remembering back to the week before the last attempt to hold the event at OCS...
It had rained several days before Sunday's rain-out. Saturday was still pretty slippery during setup and that was days after the earlier rain.

We better have a week of 10% humidity next week to get the site dried out! Or... hope for 2-3 days of 20 degree temps to get the ground hard.

Better order those mud tires! 8)

I was thinking the same thing. With all the rain lately we will need LOTS of sun, or some freezing temps to make that site driveable for next weekend.

I hope it dries out. I'm really looking forward to the new venue.

I hear rumors of rain Wed/Thus/Fri. Who wants to punch "The Fish" in the sack?
I will be there either way, but I am looking to install some tow hooks before the weekend. :D

Latest I've seen shows 40-50% chance of showers Thurs-Fri. If it's not too much rain we may still be OK even if the site does get some. I hope we luck out!

In either case, I'll send out an update (or cancellation) notice to preregged entrants by Sat afternoon.

Keep your fingers crossed!

Rather than a cancellation can we plan on a backup venue? Kevin's field will be runable even if it rains this week.

We can't cancel two events in a row! I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms and the Focus is eager to try out it's new shoes.

If it rains that's where we'll be, and you are welcome to join us - but I get to drive the Spec Focus. :D

Make sure you get to the water splashes before Cosby Wood.
