We're trying to decide where (and if) we want to have it. It's the weekend before the club Christmas party, and your VPs will be busy, but we can always find time for one more event... 8)

Please indicate your preference ASAP, as we need to start moving soon on this if it's going to happen.

I wish there was a choice for "Either place is fine with me. I don't want to be a Rallycross virgin anymore, so I don't care where we race."

I'd really like to try the OCS site. We actually had a great turnout even with the bad weather last weekend. Also it looks like the site has lots of room and the owners were in full support of us.

Carl I was meaning to talk to you and Kevin about this soon. I need to figure out some logistics for the day before the event.

Kevin's place == easier logistically. No moving the bus, during-week setup is easy. It all means that even with a low turnout it will be worth it.

Also, I'm trying to get the bus to be at the Raleigh Police Training site the day before, for the Street Survival school (and hopefully some good PR with the PD!) Getting the bus back to Four Oaks on Saturday night would be MUCH MUCH easier than OCS.

If it helps...I could possibly get the "rallycross cones" to OCS on Saturday for set-up and then work out picking up the bus on Saturday night to deliver it to OCS on Sunday.

That might be a good idea, if you're able to do it, Stephen. I'm waiting for Mike to call me back about the bus schedule. Only thing is we'd have to be there a bit early on Sun morning because, as I'm sure you remember, we need to place a lot of extra cones to mark off the pit and spectator areas. But a couple people should be able to do that in 10-15 minutes, and certainly before any serious number of speccies show up (if any do...).

Thanks!

Just let me know, I'm free that weekend and would be happy to do it if it would help us try out the new site this year.

I'd like one last event this year. Either place is ok. Thanks Carl and Kevin for offering one more chance, I'm sure organizing these events is taxing on your time.

Getting to run at a the new site would be a bonus. I should be able to help on Saturday if needed.

I'm good for either location. Setup would be fine as well. Even though I would also like to help with the Street Survival (if possible) but don't know how I could swing that one. A lot of fast driving I suppose.

That's great, Stephen- let's do it. How would we work the vehicles? I guess if you drove your truck with the GL in tow, and the dirty cones, you could leave truck and trailer at the site, and I could give you a ride back to your house. Then get hook up with the bus sometime Sat evening or early Sun morning and bring it up to OCS? That's an awful lot of Stephen getting inconvenienced- is there a way we could streamline that?

For example, might there be someone who lives near OCS going to the Street Survival thing already, who could drive the bus "home" and leave it at OCS? That'd require a 2nd person to drive their car, tho. Or perhaps someone else could volunteer to drive the bus up there early Sunday morning?

I wasn't planning on bringing the General Lei to set up....I was going to leave that to one of the other owners this time (keeping my fingers crossed that either Mitch or Steve was planning on attending). Then I would just drive my truck to Kevin's and load up the cones Saturday morning and meet you there.

I figured I could get Judi to drive me to the bus that evening and then I could just bring it Sunday morning. If Kevin and Christine can't take the bus back that night, I could probably arrange for Judi to pick me up at thier place Sunday night. It's not really an inconvenience....I don't have anything else going on. I wouldn't complain if my gas got covered though.
