And I still say a 400hp Mustang is going to get stomped by a 150hp - and probably 71hp - fwd car, regardless of LSD or no LSD. If you guys don't think front engine/rwd is at the worst disadvantage, bring one rallyxing next year.

I had a lot of fun in the BMW last year. I have to say it made me a better driver. The biggest problem, IMO, of front engine/rear drive was CAR PLACEMENT! It was just about impossible to predict where the front of the car was going to end up at any time. The oversteer in itself was actually manageable -- the rear was always in the loose stuff. But there is something about those front tires, usually on more grippy surfaces on the inside of the corner, *not* spinning, that made them hook up at seemingly random times. With FWD and AWD, the front wheels are always slightly spinning which helps with trajectory management.
You really really have to have fast hands in a RWD car and be ready for those idle front wheels to change directions instantly. There is a level of steering wheel insanity in RWD that just isn't required when the front tires are slipping in FWD and AWD
