Most get there at 8:00 to have time for course walks and such. We also take an hour break for lunch while the course get's changed.

Hey, I just noticed there's no General Lei entries signed up for this weekend. That's half our SU2 class! Is the General sick? Is there a track day that conflicts or something? What's up?

I'll be there, and I think Mitch will as well. I just keep forgeting to sign up! Can I still sign-up on-line and use Paypal?

Registration is open 8:30 - 9:30- I'd recommend you get there on the early end of that range so you've got time to unload your stuff (bring a tarp) and walk the course. This really is just like an autocross on dirt, except for the way scoring is done.

What are you planning to drive? I don't recommend anything lowered.

PS. Bring your brother! He keeps threatening to come...

I am bringing my z06, it should be good fun. Actually, thanks to Mr Whitney I will be driving a Subaru.

I will talk w/ Todd tonight. If I can drag him out there, would he be able to drive with you Carl?

Cool! Yes, I haven't closed registration yet, and probably won't until around 8p tonight. We like Paypal- go for it!

No one's contacted me about codriving yet, so the answer is yes. Only thing would be if Todd couldn't come, I wouldn't want to turn anyone else down. Not that at this point that's too likely, but you know how it goes. So if you or Todd could close the loop with me 1 way or the other that'd be great.

Just talked to Todd. He can't make it. He has tickets to something in the morning that he is doing with his two daughters.

I will see you guys in the morning.

Great event! The courses were fun and the weather was good. The 2WD cars ran first in the morning this time, and with the wet grass and saturated soil, they were really struggling in spots. With the bright sun and the strong wind, though, things firmed up pretty quickly, and by the afternoon the course had gotten pretty fast. The afternoon finish was my favorite- I couldn't make myself lift until about 50 yards past the finish lights, I was having so much fun through there!

Mo and Charlie were great event chairs, particularly for newbies- always thinking ahead for what needed to happen, and of course being right there to do it.

Attendance was disappointing, with only 28 drivers, but the bright side of the low turnout was that we got to get out of there quicker- we were packed up, finished with awards and out of there by 2:45pm.

Thanks to all who attended, to Simon for the free lunch and the nice words at the drivers meeting, and to all those who pitched in to do something extra because it needed to be done. It folks like you that make these events a success, and make our club what it is!

Glad to hear everyone had a good time. Sorry I couldn't make it. I was too busy in Winston Salem proving to everyone that Crossfire is a competitive autocross car. I will definitely be at the next event at OCS.

I just wanted to apologize to all the courseworkers for the "Plus Eleven" Fun run! I was taking Todd on a "demonstration" run and I was told that I was the last car! So I figured since the course was going to be picked up after that run, we would have some fun :) Todd and I were laughing hysterically!

Then when I saw Charlie line up for another run a minute later, I felt bad. My apologies. I really didn't think y'all would have to put those cones back.

The fun run worked though, since Todd is shopping for a Subaru now :) Mission accomplished.

I got a chance to ride with Carl and Mike yesterday. Carl showed me how you are "supposed" to drive a rallycross, Mike showed me how to drive it the way we ALL want to drive a course., with wreckless abandon!!! It was an absolute blast. I am currently trying to figure out a way to attend the OCS event.

And Mike is right, I am currently shopping for a smokin' deal on an 2.2L Impreza. So if anyone knows where one is, let me know!!! I need the car to get back and forth to work in the snow!!!! The Mustang and the Miata won't cut it in the winter. That's the way I'm justifying it anyway!!!
