FYI, here are the 2006 class descriptions I would use if I were "rally king" and we don't follow the SCCA rules...

AWD turbo or > 2.4L on street tires
AWD NA 2.4L and below on street tires
AWD on rally tires
2WD with LSD on street tires
2WD without LSD on street tires
2WD on rally tires
POS car class - would be cars purchased for < $500, would run on street tires, and members would make up their own rules by unanimous decision - and yes, the class letters on the side of the car would be "POS"

Power, handling and lightening mods would be unlimited (within reason) in each class.

If < 3 cars were present for a certain class, those cars would be bumped up into the most similar class.

Now that is interesting. I could support that.

Questions/Comments-
-Is the LSD in a SE-R considered a TRUE LSD? (Scca Doesnt for ST* Class)
-How many "true" LSD 2WD cars do we have showing up?
-I love the POS class (big surprise)

Hmmm... POS Legacy... Interesting. :D

Are you going to remove cars from the POS class once they become too dominant and move them to their regular respective classes ( Sorta like a POS = NOV class)? Looks like the POS == TIR. :D.

I like it though. Gives all cars a chance, and you can always go buy a POS if you want to dominate.

Yea, Keith Vail and I got it for 300 dollars from a Pawn Shop in Raleigh :)

I actually bought my share for 150 ;)

That will make the victory that much sweeter when the mighty Dirtmaster beats you.

I agree. I would run 2.4L NA AWD more than likely as the only other car I know coming out with AWD < 2.4L is a Suzuki Aero.

It would be a GREAT time to get a 1.8L Impreza, 2.2L Legacy, Civic AWD, 323 GTX, ... etc, and test out some AWD cars ;).

I think I might have to buy another AWD car soon... :D

Ohh.... I forgot to add that Carl (as we all know) is SOOO fast in his Neon. I have had a chance to drive the dirt master on one occassion, and that car is AWESOME. I would not be surprised if it was THE fastest NA car out there (that's not an RS).

Anyway, I think that Kevin's proposal is good for giving everyone a warm fuzzy by giving them a class they can compete in. I would just like a class *my* car is competitive in -- not dominant.

So, I am good with the *Kevin rules*.

I wouldn't be removing anybody, since the members of that class would be included by unanimous consent of the class members. (if you want in, you have to convince the other guys with POS cars to let you play with them)

Hey, when is the Neon eligible for POS class? Sure it was bought new, but it's devaluating fast, you know. :-) Kelly Blue Book "private party value" for the car is $675- I guess that means come back next year when it's got another 25k on it?

BTW, the Neon ownz the Dirtmasta, and always will!

Not to start too much side banter until rules are established, but if you meet the criteria for 'POS', you are in that class. If you dissented an opinion about being kicked out, it would not be 'unanimous'. ;)

Anyway, I think they are all good points. I would like to hear what Carl thinks about it. Sounds like a good 'evolution'.

Ooooh.. great question. Purchased price, KBB price, or the best of one? :D

Ok ok.. I will go back to 'breaking stuff' now ;)

For the record Carl, post the HP rating on the Neon. Like Rob, 140HP vs. our 71HP does make a difference.

OK, Carl, the glove has been removed, the cheeks have been slapped, now comes the challenge. Pick a car, DirtMaster or General and try to keep up :D

Had to do it!
Not too bad for a trash talking novice.

If you look at what I typed, you'll see "included" - not "kicked out." If you're the dissenting individual, you will not be INCLUDED in the group. If you've already been included for an event, and everyone is deciding on who to INCLUDE for the next event, and you're the dissenting party, guess what - you're no longer INCLUDED.

Charlie, you're practiced in the Dirtmaster & Carl's practiced in the Neon. That means y'all need to find a dissimilar car for the duel. Hey, I know, Kevin's car!

Just remember to keep your a-whipping attempts to the Pasture Prime trash-talker & not us other poor schmoes in that car just tryin' to pick our way through the dust.

BTW, you Subaru guys gotta get a sense of humor or something. Not *1* "interesting" car name in the SO4 results! :P
