Nooooo!!!!

I hope you get everything worked out & don't get screwed financially on this... :(

Well, it is already going to cost me $493.00 for another ECU so I can get my car running while Cobb tries to figure out what happened. If they can't guarantee that it is not going to burn up this next one; then I'm going to ask for my money back on the AccessPort and start looking at some of these new stand-alone replacement modules. I don't think too many of those are going to allow me to stay in ESP for autocross though.

That's why the AccessPort was so cool, I could run it in STX mode and stay SCCA legal for autocross and then change it to Stage2 mode for rallycross.

I've had to put my suspension upgrade on hold for a little while till I get this problem figured out.

If my brother's pickup didn't burn so much gas I would ride up there anyway; the thing is atrocious.

I should probably be posting this in another thread but this is where it all got started so I'll just finish up here too. :)

Cobb received my AccessPort and ECU on Friday. The tech said that the AP was reprogrammed properly and there didn't seem to be any problems with it. He took apart the ECU because sometimes they can tell what happened by what area of the ECU got burned. He said the whole ECU was destroyed; he had never seen one that fried. You guys know I don't do things half-a**ed.

Cobb is being really decent, they are ordering a new ECU and are going to flash it there with my AP to make sure that is working properly and there are no more problems.

The ECU that I have ordered should be here on Monday or Tuesday so I should have my car back up and running soon. :cheer: I am going to keep that ECU as a backup; it will never get flashed. If something like this happens again, I will, at least, be able to get the car running again.

You don't realize how much you enjoy driving those little Subies around untill you can't. Let me tell you, it is a lot different getting to work (when your a couple of minutes late) when your driving a long-bed, extended cab Ford F-150 pickup that never gets it's thirst quinched.

See everyone next month. And let me know how today went with the rally tires. 8)
