How bout y'all get me a blurb to put on the event page, then I can make an announcement about on the various forums (specialstage, etc) about it.

Sooner would be better than later... ;-)

Thanks!

Who wants to take on the Sept 17th event? It's coming up soon! Kevin and I reckon it'll be at his place again...

The BMW Farm is available on that date- if you need an alternative....

Thanks Joe for offering to chair the Sept 17th event! Now we need an event name, and some kind of blurb for the web page ASAP! It's already late to be making the announcement to other clubs/forums!

So who's co-chairing with Joe? It might be nice if all parties are aware that they are chairing before the event starts.

Wanna come over this weekend and help plan some courses?

I'm sure I can manage at least one day this weekend. Let me find out what days, or part of days, that I can be free and I'll pass that on.

Who's chairing the Nov 19th event? It'd better be somebody... :-) I'd volunteer, but I'm not sure yet if I'll even be able to make it.

It'll be at Bret and Kelly's place- someone had suggested we try having the rallyX in the "back 40", but I've also heard (I think from Mike W) that the ridges/ditches back there were worse than in the field we usually run in. Kevin, have you seen it? If not, do you think you might have a chance to go by there and check it out? It'd be nice to try a larger area.

Thanks,

Carl

If there are no takers, I'll step up to be one of the event chairs. Now Kevin, about that back lot.

The one behind where we usually run is no improvement.

The one across the road is the one I think people may be talking about. I don't have a clear image of it in my mind, so I'd have to go look at it again.

I checked out the one across the street last year sometime. I basically liked it. There were some temporary-type electric fences in there, but the lot was pretty flat and rectangular. IIRC there were 1 or 2 spots to avoid (water holes or bushes I think), but otherwise it was pretty good. The access road might be a bit intimidating for a timid driver (I don't think we've got any of them left... :) ), but it looked worse than it really was.

By all means I'd like to hear your impression as well.
