If this was going to be a smooth dirt course I would consider airing down to 20 - 25 lbs for a bigger contact patch, but since its going to be on the rough side (at least in the begining anyway) I'm afraid if I do that I might damage my sidewalls. Anyone given this any thought? I'm running 205 50/15s.

Since you'll hopefully going sideways a lot 8) , I'd run a little more pressure to make sure tires stay on the rims where they belong. You may not need it, but I'm planning to start with 35psi all around and make adjustments from there.

Yep, plan on being sideways :P

If it was not going to be rough I really do think lower pressure is good though, because the reason you're sideways is you don't have much grip, and therefore less lateral force on the sidewall. You can trade that off for a bigger contact patch (a little more grip). If, however the car is bouncing over grass clods, ruts, rocks, etc. especially while sideways then I agree keeping the pressures up is a good idea :D And it looks like that'll be the order of the day!

Can't wait, its going to be fun (if I don't break a strut or something).

Well, there will probably be grass clods and ruts, but I can definitely say that there are no rocks on this course. It is quite simply a grassy field.
