I think this has been discussed before, but let's bring this up again...

How loud is too loud for the first event? I think at the very least we need to require mufflers (no straight pipes), but what shall we require beyond that?

Mark Whight sent me an email asking this.

I'd say if it's not welcome at RBC night series, leave it at home. Definitely no dune-buggy or Pro Rally type exhausts! If it has a muffler (a real one, not like Tom Hoppe's), it should be quiet enough, though.

Mark Whight here......

The exhaust system I have is a Cobb full system minus headers (still waiting for them to go into production.....). It has a deep mellow sound, not too loud - but definitely not stock......

I just wanted to make sure that we didn't offend the land owners who are graciously allowing us to tear up their field...........

See you Saturday..........

Checking to see what you're using this exhaust on...

Oh, okay. That will be fine. I have the Borla header, stock cats, Stromung cat-back and a Ganz-flow intake. Way under the noise limit. Peter Baio has the same exhaust but with a Cobb intake, though - so we might have to ban him, since it's a lot louder and sounds kinda ricey...

:P

Kevin,

It's on the wife's '00 2.5 RS (if I break it, I'm paying for it!). She has the Cobb power package # 2 - minus the Cobb headers (still waiting). Cobb intake, pulley, hi-flow cat, full Cobb system......as far as ricey sounding goes, hmmmm - wait 'til you hear Mr. Whitneys rio red chitvic......

Looking forward to the event.....it's been quite a few years since I've been on the loose stuff ... (however, I'm not counting that big agricultural excursion I had coming out of Hogs Pen at VIR the other month....!)

Cheers, Mark
