I'm going to finish filling this in as I get the info. Subject to change, but hopefully not much. I've scheduled around the local stage rallies, and most of the DC Rally events at Summit Point, but let me know if there's something you think might pull a bunch of entrants away.

March 11 - Wilson County Fair - Pete and Charlie
April 29 - AVRC - Liz and Kelvin Black
May 27 - NCCAR - the Jankos
June 16 - Wilson County Fair - cancelled
July 8 - Wilson County Fair -
Oct 14 - Wilson County Fair
Nov 4 - Wilson County Fair

Need event chairs, so if you're interested, let us know.

Is there any chance the March 11 date can be moved up to maybe mid February? Our Lemons/Chump season starts in March so most of the General Lei crowd may be busy.

Also the June and October dates both fall on a THSCC HPDE weekend.

I know you can't schedule aroound everything or everyone, so I'm sure you'll do the best you can.

BTW, I'm still working on securing us a 2nd site in Wilson.

Trying to get the other dates at NCCAR, and maybe do non-pts event at BMW Farm or OCS. Or whatever happens.

June is pretty busy - STPR first weekend, SCCA Rallyx regional championship at Summit Pt 2nd weeekend, NASA Rallysprint at Summit Pt 3rd weekend, THSCC autox at Danville 4th weekend. I chose the weekend that I personally would be ok with for our rallyx event. I plan to attend all the other things. Gonna be caraaaaaaaaaazy!

How do people feel about a rallyx or two on Saturday?

What about starting at noon on Sunday, and not taking a lunch break to make up the time? (there would just be a short break to reverse the course and do a little bit of smoothing with the tractor.)

This is for NCCAR only.

the advantage to a noon start would be the ability to drive up that morning without having to leave the house at dark:thirty.

what is the anticipated end time? 6PM?

If my $5,000 beater is rallycross worthy I'll be at a couple of events. Wilson was awesome last year and was really surprised how smooth the course was. If it's smooth enough for an Integra, the '99 Si I'm looking at might be up for the challenge but the front bumper is staying on, only unless it's unintentionally removed.

no love for the BMW farm?

If there's a problem/complaint with the site and/or site owner, it'd be nice if someone mentioned it.

I don't mind Saturday events

I can't do noon on sunday because it ends too late. Need to get home for other commitments

Hello, Bret.

I love the BMW Farm when we get to run on the side of the gulley that's big and fun - or preferably on both sides, so we can include the jump and big sweeper. This is why I never felt the need to drive to OCS for almost the whole time we've been running there. :D

When we have to use the side that's really small and ruts horribly, I don't love it so much. (which was the case last time) :(

I was going to contact you about having a non-pts rallyx/rallyx school/test & tune/whatever in August, IF we can use the large/fun side of the site. I was also leaning toward asking about having the April event (wanted the 15th) there, with the same IF. Will that be possible?

My top priority was the Wilson site, since it's SO! FREAKING! AWESOME!, so I've been trying to take care of that first, then set up some events with NCCAR next, since they seem excited about having us there, the site appears to have huge potential, and may lure some of the Virginians down, since it's so close to them. Sorry to put you behind them, but it's a lot to deal with, and I wanted to do this one site at a time. If it's any consolation, I put OCS last on the agenda. :D

We can use either side of the field, and I explained this to the folks who set up the last 2-3 courses out here. Some concerns were raised by my father in law about crossing over the drainage "ditch" causing excess erosion, so it's got to be one side or the other (i.e.- no crossing over the "ditch" as part of the course).

If you'll give me proposed dates, I'll discuss with the cattle guy and see if there are any conflicts, and we'll take it from there.

I got the impression that NCCAR was only going to be available temporarily, until they paved that area ?? Or am I missing something?

bret,
you are correct about NCCAR. when they get the funding, they will pave it. So they told us to take advantage of their brokeness at the moment.

all the autoXers want it paved, the RXers dont want it paved.

hmmm

Actually, at the last event "some guy on a 4 wheeler" came out and told the Kokoszkas that they couldn't use the good (uphill) side, just the smaller side. I wasn't there when that happened, just heard it once I got there to help set up. If that won't be the case next time, I'm all for driving 10 miles to a great site with the rally tires already on the car, instead of 90 and having to change tires.

As for dates, how about April 15 and August 12?
