Has a blast at the School/T&T on Saturday. Thanks to Charlie for setting up the morning course, Ray for the instruction/discussion, Kevin for the afternoon course and more instruction/discussion, and everyone else for a great time. (And as always, thanks to Bret for the location!)

rally x was fun. school was a riot. car is busted again.. but that is the fault of being 20 yrs old on original parts! ahah. the dsm mirage needs shocks, i accept that. though yesterday it was beating my sentra by about a second. impressive...wheel hop was a problem for me all day long today, really limiting acceleration. though maybe that was good because i had to clean up my driving alot.. momentum was important because power could not be applied easily. i did not hit any cones in the afternoon, even with a sick car.thats ok though.. we will be back in some form or another again. ocs is a favorite track of mine. and lets look forward to wilson as well.

Hope everyone had fun this weekend, sorry I couldn't be at the RallyX or the school.

We went to Charleston for a weekend trip with my son's Cub Scout pack, camping out on the USS Yorktown (WWII Aircraft Carrier). We had a great time, but Kelly's car had some trouble on the way home. Looks like a pin or detent of some sort came loose inside the trans and it's now stuck in reverse, with the capability of also being put into another forward gear at the same time!

Anyway, we called my 81 year old father in law to see if he could come get us, so he went to hook up the truck and trailer and had some help from "a tall guy who doesn't seem to like BMW's"- so I can only guess that was Vincent.
:stick:

THANK YOU Vincent (and whoever else helped), for helping Bill get the trailer hooked up. We got the car home last night just in time to see Obama addressing the nation about Osama bin Laden's death, so I guess the day wasn't all bad.....

Now just need to find a 5 speed manual trans for a 2002 325iT.........

Thanks for putting on the school this year on Saturday, it was a blast! The extra runs really helped to nail down technique, although it was not fun to jump in someone else's car and immediately drop several seconds :-( It did help to drive multiple cars and get a feel for the different setups.

That was Mitch and I and we were both more than glad to help. I'm glad you and Kelly were able to have a Ford bring another one of your POS German cars back home. :whip:

I was trying to be nice. Tom has me enrolled in a "Don't hate on all German cars" class, but so far I'm failing miserably.

Between Kevin's E36 catching on fire (then driving itself), Rodney's current VW troubles, and Tom's 4-matic woes, there is just too much ammunition for a kraut hater like me to pass up. :poke:
