just kicking around an idea, but do you guys allow sand rails in rallyx? I'm talking like the open tube frame w/ the VW motor. Just curious.

Rodney, I was thinking the same thing.

Make it super-light, you could fit lots of different engines in there.

You'd have to fab up some serious "fender" liners and mudflaps to keep from being sandblasted all through your run though..... but it could be done.

Either that, or a Baja bug.........

Aaahh yes. Hahaha. Ive always wanted to get one for rallyx. If I did t have the Subaru I probably would.

Btw. I would say just about anything is allowed in rallyx as long as it's "safe".

A few years ago they let 4-wheelers run with the group.

The only time I remember a 4 wheeler running was at Kevin's place. One of his friends/cousins or something did several laps during lunch on a 4 wheeler. I don't remember any actually running during the event- but I've not been to all of the events....

You aren't going to opt for the twin turbo LS1 sandrail?

folks have been putting subaru motors in beetles. why not make the old baja bug there, into one with a STI motor in it. 300 hp baja beetle with STI motor.

sti powered rail on dyno. 320 hp
