What a blast. First time at a rallyx and had a great time. Thanks to Charlie and Pete for letting me co-driver the se-r. The course was great. I never thought I'd catch "air" but damn if I didn't off of the berm in the morning sessions. Really hate I had to bail after lunch, but my son Drew decided he'd blow the engine in his legacy. That said, any one know where I can price used subie engines?

Yes, indeed. What year and engine is it?

I have a 97 (or maybe 98) 2.2 Impreza sedan 4EAT. New tires, new battery, previous owner gutted the car in anticipation of building a race car.

Runs and drives good. Less than 100k.

I'll sell it pretty cheap if someone is looking for a rallyx car.

My Subaru automatic transmission lasted all of 4 races before blowing up, but it had 130K miles on it. Then again, the manual transmission broke after about six races, so maybe its just me? (To be fair, the manual transmission saw lots of action before I got it.)

What are you asking for the car? Any picks or details of it?

ive been trying to find a way to convert it.

on my mac its hard. on a pc i can get it to play (no sound) but cant convert it from .MOD to anything worth a damn. .MOD is JVC camcorder extension. it sucks. but im trying to also edit it down since its almost 1gig of video (30mins) and i think it was recording while we had that long timing issue.

Rodney tasted dirt and now he asks:

Reel him in David!

Really Rodney, we'd love to have such a natural talent added to the rally-x crowd. You did very well for a veteran autocrosser on dirt for the first time.

Thanks for the kind words Charlie. Actually I'm looking at this as a replacement car for Drew. I really hate to get into the middle of another engine swap again. Got a price from Jeremy on a replacement motor. If I can get Drew to commit on helping me, I'll press forward on the swap, otherwise the car is being sold on the cheap....
