I'm not sure what all the panic was about mud. There was so much dust from the first car running, I think this was one of the dustiest days in a long time.
I agree. Did the guys mowing on Saturday find any evidence where the previous mower had supposedly been getting stuck? Having seen this track VERY muddy (raining during the event), I can't figure out what the problem would have been, unless the guy didn't know how to drive and was on turf tires, or unless he was towing a mower rather than a 3-pt mount. Or unless he just didn't feel like getting out there to mow.

this was not my favorite course. Racing down and turning around and racing back is not my thing.
I can definitely see how this would be the case, although I *always* like OCS the best because it's such a smooth course (easier on the car) compared to the other places we run. (I don't mean that in a mean-spirited way - just discussing) I like OCS when it's muddy or a little wet, so it starts out slick and you have to figure that out, and then gets grippier as the day goes along, to where it just starts to get dusty at the end. Is that too specific?
The 06-June course definitely favored the cars with more power or "all-out" drivers, and I think you'll see that in the results when they are posted. But we have other events where you can't use all the power you have, so it balances out.
It was really fun on the afternoon course hitting that first right-hand corner and then flying down the back "straight" (slight slalom?). The same part of the track was my favorite in the morning course, but in reverse. I wanted a few more runs in the morning to build up my confidence enough not to back out of the gas coming down the "hill" toward the last turn.
