Kieran and I had a great time at Sandblast last weekend.

Camera was playing up and some stages are cut short. Unfortunately the section of stage 3 where we chased Rob Rill/Ben Slocum in a Subaru into the finish, just 20 feet off their bumper when their turbo blew is lost. Was amazing! Total whiteout in less than a second. OUR cabin filled with smoke. I had to stop for fear of crashing into them or a worker or off the stage. When the smoke cleared some 20 seconds later I was STOPPED 5 yards before the flying finish!

If you're going to watch just one stage I suggest SS5 which is in three parts. There is a pause with click to next part at the end of each multiple-part video.

Despite that we did extremely well, finishing 1st in our class, 1st of all two-wheel-drive cars and 6th overall.

Thanks to Kevin Hoff our crew chief and to Carl and Emmie and Eric and everyone who came out to volunteer the rally. And huge thanks to Anders and Amy (and Astrid!) for an amazing, well run event under severe conditions.
