the side mounts in my car were installed to accommodate a wide seat (previous owner) but i need to run a narrower one. as a result i have a sizable gap between the seat and mounts that's too big for washers to fill, i need some solid spacers (approx 1.25" od, 3/8" id, 0.75" long) to get a proper fit. anyone have a source for such a thing? a local machine shop can do it for $70 but that's more than the mounts cost.

i found some spacers on ebay for $12, some sort of military surplus item but it's nearly the perfect size so hopefully that'll do the trick. ordered a sparco pro adv seat today as well, i just hope it makes it here in time for my rookie race next month.

If it is not at McMaster-Carr you probably don't need it.

Great thing is that almost everything in their catalog is stocked in Atlanta and is here the next afternoon if ordered by 5:00PM.

I'll second that. They have damn near everything and have it in stock! They have good customer service as well.

I'd find out if it would pass tech before spending a nickel first, if I were you. Backing into Armco at 50 miles an hour with an extended lever arm might not be a good thing.
